CLEVELAND, OHIO — October 28, 2025 — After a year of reflection, rebuilding, and growth, Save Our Families returns stronger than ever with a celebration that blends legacy, love, and new beginnings. This December, the Cleveland-based nonprofit will host its 5th Annual Holiday Giveaway, marking a return to one of its most cherished traditions and the first event inside its new headquarters at 4394 Pearl Road, Cleveland, Ohio 44109.

The event will take place on Friday, December 20, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., offering free food, music, toys, and refreshments to families across Cleveland. More than a holiday celebration, this year’s event represents a milestone—a homecoming for an organization that began in the earliest days of the pandemic, built on the belief that compassion could hold communities together when everything else was falling apart.

“When I started Save Our Families during the pandemic in 2020, I just wanted to help people feel less alone,” said Kristy F. Steele, Founder and Executive Director of Save Our Families. “In 2024, we took a year from our holiday event to strengthen our foundation, and now we’re back—in our own building—ready to open our doors and hearts to the community that made all this possible. This event isn’t just our return; it’s our grand opening.”

Building Back and Giving Back

Save Our Families launched in April 2020 to bring awareness to mental health, substance use, and overdose prevention during a time when families were isolated and struggling. That same year, the organization held its first-ever Holiday Giveaway to provide hope, warmth, and joy to those affected by the pandemic’s hardships. What started as an act of compassion has since evolved into one of Cleveland’s most loved community traditions.

This year’s Holiday Giveaway will be the first event hosted inside the organization’s new office—a space that symbolizes growth, stability, and renewal. After five years of impact and one year of pause, Save Our Families is proud to reintroduce itself to the community it calls home. This year Save Our Families is honored to join forces with New Voices for Reproductive Justice and Toys for Tots, working together to create a season of joy, unity, and compassion for Cleveland families.

In preparation for this year’s event, Save Our Families invites the community to be part of the giving season by dropping off donations of new, unwrapped toys, hygiene products, or winter essentials at the office Monday through Wednesday between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. Every contribution directly supports local families in need.

Those interested in lending a hand can also sign up to volunteer through the website, helping with gift organization, setup, guest hospitality, or meal service. Together, these acts of care create the foundation for a brighter, more connected community.
