August 31st, International Overdose Awareness Day
“More Ohioans died of an opioid overdose during a three-month period last year than at any time since the epidemic began according to an analysis by a task force created by Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost.” (2021) Ohio has an epidemic on its hands.
A preventable epidemic. With harm reduction solutions and open access to detox and treatment centers, we can impact our communities and save lives. August 31st is International Overdose Awareness Day, and Project White Butterfly will be giving away free Narcan to help aid with overdose prevention. Save Our Families NPO will be in attendance as well, giving out school supplies. The event is from 3-7 pm, while supplies last!
