Nita’s Closet, named in honor of the compassionate and generous Nita S. Steele, mother of SOF’s Founder and President, is a beacon of hope for underprivileged communities, providing vital support to those facing adversity. Nita’s vision, that everyone should have access to basic necessities, continues to inspire the mission of Nita’s Closet, which has already served over 600 individuals and distributed over 10,000 items in the past three years alone.
In recent months, Nita’s Closet has seen a significant increase in demand for its services, reflecting the ongoing challenges faced by many in our community. Families struggling to make ends meet, individuals experiencing homelessness, and marginalized populations are all turning to Nita’s Closet for access to clothing, hygiene products, safe sex resources, and more.
Recognizing the urgent need to expand their outreach efforts and continue providing essential resources to those in need, Save Our Families is launching a fundraising campaign to support Nita’s Closet. Through this campaign, Save Our Families aims to raise $5,000, which will be used to purchase supplies for community outreach events and ensure that Nita’s Closet can continue its vital work.
